What We Do

Advantage Renewables develops high-quality and responsibly sited solar and energy storage projects across the United States, helping to deliver clean, American-made energy in the communities where we work.

Our Process

Site Selection

All of our projects start with land. We take many factors into account when siting our projects. We strive to balance proximity to transmission lines and substations, while reducing our impact on environmentally-sensitive areas, lowering our impact on our neighbors, and utilizing less-productive land.

Permitting

Working with the communities in which we develop, we go above and beyond local ordinances to make sure we meet or exceed all local, state and federal regulations. We truly believe in being a partner with our communities, making sure that all residents in the area benefit from our projects. We collaborate with local officials to build strong relationships and ensure our projects align with the community’s long-term planning and development goals.

Grid Interconnection

To get the power from our projects to homes and businesses, we must connect to the high-voltage transmission grid. These wires and substations are highly regulated and we must go through a multi-year process so that our projects can be studied for safety and reliability. Once we have permission to connect our projects to the grid and the permits to build, we then can begin construction.

Solar

Advantage Renewables is at the forefront of clean, American-made energy production. Using the sun to create electricity provides the grid with much needed local energy, all the while doing so with no pollution, noise, or emissions. As a landowner, solar provides economic benefit and financial security and preserves and revitalizes farmland for future generations.

Battery Storage

Powering the grid with clean, American-made energy requires balancing the fluctuations of solar and wind. This is where energy storage plays a crucial role. From balancing supply and demand every second, to shifting abundant energy to times of higher demand, energy storage is the glue that will hold the grid of the future together.
